Race Start Line and Course
This is a sanctioned USAT&F 4-mile course. The start line is at One Park Blvd. at Harbor Dr. between the Hilton San Diego Bayfront and the San Diego Convention Center. The course travels along Harbor Dr. to Cesar E. Chavez Pkwy. Participants head east to National Ave., then up and over the Coronado Bay Bridge. The race finishes in Coronado’s Tidelands Park. Walkers are encouraged to bring cameras to take some great photos of San Diego and Coronado from on top of the bridge! Baby strollers, wheelchairs and guide dogs are permitted. Skateboards, bikes, skates, race wheelchairs and pets (with the exception of service animals) are prohibited. All participants must be on the bridge by 8:45 am, approximately 1 mile, to allow for the reopening of traffic lanes.
Plan ahead and arrive early! Prior to 7 am premier parking is available in the Hilton San Diego Bayfront parking garage for a fee. After 7 am, parking is available for a fee in the Convention Center parking garage through the 5th Ave and harbor Drive entrance, as well as surrounding lots. Parking meters downtown San Diego are free on Sundays. Be sure to pay attention to posted signs.
Take The Trolley!
Avoid the crowds and parking downtown, take the trolley or bus! Purchase an event day MTS Trolley/Bus Pass for $5.50 from us during registration. Participants that pre-purchased an MTS one day event Trolley/Bus Pass, will have an MTS stamp marked on their race bib number. This will identify participants as a pre-paid rider, valid at any MTS Trolley or Bus station on race day on Sunday, May 21, 2023. To get your combo day pass, you MUST select this option during registration. (Day pass does not include MTS COASTER).

Race Ferry Free With Race Bib Number
All race participants may enjoy FREE transportation (included in race entry) from the Coronado FINISH LINE to the San Diego START LINE ride on a special “Race Ferry” courtesy of Flagship Cruises and Events. “Race Ferries” (designated by signs at the Ferry entrance) will run continuously from 9:45 am to 12:45 pm from the Ferry Landing Marketplace, about three quarters of a mile from the finish line, and drops you off at the 5th Ave. landing next to the Hilton San Diego Bayfront in back of the Convention Center. Participants much present their race bib number to be identified as a FREE rider, no exceptions. Friends and family are also invited to purchase tickets at the ticket kiosks at the Ferry Landing for $7 each. Children 3 and under ride free.
Public Ferry Free With Race Bib Number
The “Public Ferry” (included in race entry) leaves from the Coronado FINISH LINE on the hour from 9:30am-12:30pm on a space available basis. “Public Ferries” (designated by signs at the Ferry entrance) leaves from the Ferry Landing Marketplace and drops you at the Broadway Pier near the Midway Museum, approximately 1-mile from the race start area. Participants much present their race bib number to be identified as a FREE rider, no exceptions. Friends and family are also invited to purchase tickets at the ticket kiosks at the Ferry Landing for $7 each. Children 3 and under ride free.
Prior to the race start- (for Coronado residents): Shuttle buses are available to the start line downtown from 6:30am-7:15am from Glorietta Blvd. near the finish line area at Tidelands Park. Masks are required for all passengers.
After the event- (for all participants and spectators): Return shuttle buses will run after the race to the start line downtown, beginning at 8:30am and ending at 11am. Baby strollers and wheelchair access is available. Participants much present their race bib number to be identified as a FREE rider, no exceptions.
Service dogs are the only animals permitted on the ferries, buses and on the race course.
Pre Race Packet Pick Up:
Pre-registered participants: you may pick up your race packet on Saturday, May 20 from 9 am-2 pm at Road Runner Sports, 5553 Copley Drive, San Diego, CA 92111. Your race packet includes your bib number and T-Shirt.
Received your race bib in the mail? You MUST bring it with you to pick up your shirt.
Didn't receive your race bib in the mail? If you did not receive your race bib by mail, bring a valid ID to pick up your race bib and t-shirt.
For your friends and family: You may pick up the race bib for friends and family, with their authorization (copy of their registration confirmation and a valid photo ID). You are responsible for distributing these items to them prior to the event.
We encourage you to attend the packet pick up event and take advantage of this great offer!
Race Morning Bib Pick-Up
If you are unable to attend the Pre-Race Packet Pick-Up, and did not receive your race bib by mail, you may pick it up at at 1 Park Blvd., in the grass area adjacent to the Hilton San Diego Bayfront from 6:30 am-7:45 am only. There is no race day registration. Those who pick up their bib, on race morning will receive their event T-shirt and medal at the finish line area.
Run to Remember
The Navy’s Bay Bridge Run/Walk is proud to partner with the Navy Gold Star Program to honor Surviving Family Members of Service Members who lost their lives while on active duty. You too can show your appreciation for their sacrifice by participating in this year’s “I Run to Remember” campaign. Write the name of a Fallen Service Member on the space provided on your race bib or honor all Fallen Service Members with Families, as well as current active duty military and their families. Race Bib Numbers
All participants MUST wear their race bib number on the front in order to cross the Coronado Bridge. The number is required to record your time and place, and to pick up your event T-shirt and Finisher’s Medal. Numbers are non-transferable so no one else may wear a number assigned to you.
You may check in your warm-ups at the start line near registration. All items turned in by 7:30 am will be available for pick up at the finish line by 8 am. All items turned in after 7:30 am will be available after 9 am. All bags subject to search. Do not leave any bags unattended at any time during the event. Do NOT pack valuables. MWR is not responsible for lost items. Bags may be claimed at the finish line when you present your race number.
Each participant who crosses the finish line receives a commemorative finisher’s medal. Simply redeem the tear-away tag from your race bib number at the FINISHER’S MEDAL BOOTH, AFTER the finish line to collect your medal.
Commemorative high quality 100% pre-shrunk cotton T-shirts are distributed to all registered participants at the Pre-Race Packet Pick Up event at Road Runner Sports and AFTER the finish line booth in Tidelands Park. You must present your race bib to claim your T-shirt. Sizes available while supplies last.
Awards are presented to the TOP THREE (3) finishers in each AGE and TEAM division at the awards table next to the stage. Awards handout will begin around 9:15 am.
Invite your friends to cheer for you at the finish line and celebrate at the post race party at Tidelands Park in Coronado. Enjoy refreshments, live music and sponsor booths. Make plans to stick around for the awards presentation and terrific drawing prizes from approximately 9:15 am-10:30 am. You must be present to win drawing prizes.
Pre-Race Food & Beverage Kiosks
Available at the RACE START for purchase. Avoid the morning rush! Plan on getting to the event early and enjoy coffee and light continental breakfast items before the race starts. Food and beverage items for purchase hosted by the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.
Water & Restroooms
Water and restrooms are available at the start and finish line and before the bridge at the Chicano Park water station. It is your responsibility to remain sufficiently hydrated throughout the reace. Please keep in mind, all participants must be on the bridge by 8:45 am, approximately 1 mile, to allow for the reopening of traffic lanes.

As always, we ask that participants take personal responsibility for their safety. If you have temperature and/or are not feeling well, do not attend the event. Your safety is of the utmost importance to us. Below are some guidelines to help keep everyone safe:
- Anyone who is sick, feeling any symptoms of fever, cough, or trouble breathing should stay home. If you are a participant, remember that a friend or family member can pick up your bib number and t-shirt, provided they have a copy of your ID and registration confirmation.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then dispose of it. There will be tissues, wipes, and trash cans readily available to assist you.
- Be sure to wash your hands often with soap and water, for at least 20 seconds.
