MWR serves more than 500,000 members of our San Diego Military Community by providing healthy and affordable fitness and recreation facilities, swimming pools, beaches, free movie theaters, bowling centers, golf courses, discount ticket offices, a marina, gear rental centers, Liberty Centers for enlisted single Sailors, youth and teen recreation centers, dining facilities, childcare centers, RV parks, Community Recreation Centers, free family events and more at each of the six Navy installations located in San Diego County including Naval Medical Center San Diego (Balboa Hospital).
